In the lead-up to the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Korean recurve men’s team is set to dominate.

Kim Woojin, a seasoned archer, would perform exceptionally at the 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup. He lost only one point during eliminations in Yecheon.

The event was crucial, but Kim’s main goal is the Paris Olympics. He hopes to keep Korea at the top of world archery.

For years, Korea’s recurve men’s team has shown they are Olympic archery powerhouse. They won their first gold in the recurve mixed team at the Asian Games. This victory proves the team’s outstanding depth of talent. Korea also beat Japan, earning a spot for women archers at the Paris 2024 quadrennial event.

In this strong team, archers like Kim Woojin, Lee Woo-seok, and Kim Je-deok will lead the way.

Woojin is ranked third globally, making him the best in Asia. Both Lee and Kim are in the top 10 in the world too. This highlights the Korean team’s power in recurve men’s archery.

From 1993 to 2017, South Korean archers have won 12 out of 13 men’s recurve individual world titles.

However, in 2019, the USA’s Brady Ellison dethroned them at the Hyundai World Archery Championships. Ellison became the first American champion since 1985.

Yet, the Korean recurve men’s team is still a top contender for the Paris 2024 Olympics. With talents like Kim Woojin, they aim to dominate again. The team’s rich pool of skills positions them well for future success.
